2016 EASTER CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
27 March 2016
JUDGE: MRS DANELLE BROWN (USA)
1st – Hubertus Dream Deal (Pali)
Five and a half month old male, has good bone and correct balance. Moves easily around the ring with a firm, level back and ample ribbing. Good upper arm and shoulder, correct head planes and tail set. Very promising future for this boy.
2nd – Riversby Ganache Giorgio (Ward)
Fourteen weeks old and at his first show. It was hard to evaluate his movement because he was a little rambunctious. Looks very promising, I love the head – good planes, good correct proportion, nice ears. He’s toeing out a tiny bit when standing but it might just be that he was a little unsettled on the day. Correct, moderate bone. Another with good ribbing. Held his back well, nice placement of tail. Both are very promising puppies.
1st – Kenoz Rocknroze Star Struck (AI) (Butler)
Puppy In Show
Eleven months old and somewhat at the gawky stage. Correct bone, very balanced mover, pleasing head and expression. Held his back on the move, but he is a little steep in the croup right now I’d like to see this dog when he’s a little bit older.
1st – Gamecall The Ocean Tayke Me (AI) (Hine)
Fourteen month old puppy, very pleasing on the move. Balanced angles front to rear with good layback of shoulder. He maintained a strong back on the move. Nice length and arch of neck.
Right now his head almost seems a little out of proportion with the body but I think that is just a stage. Stood well.
2nd – Gamecall Tayke Aim (AI) (Morris)
The brother to first place dog. I really like this guy also on the move but his outline let him down standing. Right now he falls off at the croup quite a bit. Possibly age related. I actually liked his head a little better than his brother’s, as it was in better balance with his body. He also had nice bone and was clean coming and going. Overall going to be a very good boy when he grows up.
3rd – Metropolis Debut Hunter (Hanney)
This guy’s just turned a year old. He’s going to be very good, but right now he looks like a 12 month old dog- a little bit leaner, a little longer and taller in body than the others, just all around a little more dog. Like the others he very balanced with lovely muscling, clean movement, held his back, good tailset, nice neck, pleasing head & good ears.
1st – Ch Graebrook Bennett TD (Staples)
Nice picture standing, good proportions. Wish he has better angles both front and rear but very balanced on the move. Clean coming and going. Very strong back, good ribbing, nice forechest & depth of brisket. Nice tight feet, pleasant expression and head.
Just two boys, both very nice.
1st – Ch Hanafor The Enforcer (AI) (Harris/Stading)
Challenge Dog / Australian Bred In Show
RUNNER-UP BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW
About a year and a half old, was lovely to watch going around the ring. Held his back on the move. Very balanced mover. Head was dry and had a moderately wide and slightly domed skull. Nice muscling, good tail set, good length of upper arm and shoulder. Deep chest, moderate forechest. Lots to like about this boy.
2nd Tanashka Nemes Ziggy (Quinn)
Gave the winner a run for his money – again a very lovely dog. A little bit shorter in muzzle than the first one. His feet could use some attention as his nails were quite long. Not quite the angles in the front or rear so he lost out to the first dog on sidegait. Strong back, good ribbing, correct bone. Very nice.
Lovely Open class – very different styles in here. All three have a nice outline
1st – Ch Hubertus The Real Deal (AI) (Pali/Blaik)
Reserve Challenge Dog / Open In Show
Medium size dog of proper proportion who won this class on his overall balance. Nice going around the ring. Held his topline standing and on the move. Dry head with good skull, blunt muzzle, strong jaws & tight lips. Could use a tighter foot.
2nd – Ch Tanashka Mestermu Rufus (Quinn)
Another quality entry with nice body proportions. Correct length of ribbing and sternum with short loin. Pleasing expression with dark, slightly oval eyes. Good muzzle to skull proportion. Held his topline on the move
3rd – Ch Graebrook Kausin Kaos ET (Graebrook Knls)
Very nice moving with lots of ring presence. Does not have quite as pleasing a head as the others. More lip than desired ruins the clean cut look. He was also a little rangier than the other two boys. Good length of rib with short loin. Clean mover coming and going and balanced from the side.
Two lovely baby girls.
1st – Hubertus Diamond Deal (Pali)
Baby Puppy In Show
Is a litter mate to the baby dog class winner. Beautiful outline, a little loose up front coming at me. Strong, muscular back with a slight rise over her loin. Correct ribbing and sternum. Good tailset, nice bone, tight, oval feet. Pleasing expression, very promising puppy. Love the forechest on her.
2nd – Hanafor Denaras Fendi (Leighton)
About the same age as the first girl but a little more rangy and much looser coming at you – slings her front a bit on the move but I’m guessing it’s just an age related thing. Falls off at the croup when she’s standing but another very promising puppy.
1st – Tanashka Nemes Ilka (Barnard)
Junior In Show
Medium sized girl with correct height to length proportions. Long, slightly arched neck. Pleasing head and expression with strong jaws and tight fitting lips. Balanced movement. Nice deep chest with ribbing carried well back. Croup was steeper than desired.
2nd – Kenoz Rocknroze Star Quality (AI) (Fogarty)
Nicely balanced bitch who made a pleasing picture. Easy mover from the side, as well as clean coming and going. Beat out her competition on her sidegait. Kept a firm, strong back both standing and on the move. Her ears were rather low set which tended to give her a somewhat hound look.
3rd – Gamecall Tayke another Breath (AI) (Hine)
The baby of the class at only 11 months old. She made a pleasing picture standing. Balanced mover from the side. Correct bone. Nice length of rib and depth of chest and adequate forechest for her age. Held her back when going around the ring but a bit steep in croup on the day.
1st –Ch Metropolis Beaucoup Beaucoup (AI) (Hanney)
Challenge Bitch / Intermediate In Show
BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW
A lovely balanced bitch – everything blended well with itself. Nice curves all the way around, pleasing head, very easy balanced mover, correct bone, good ribbing, nice depth of brisket, clean on the down and back. Lovely length and arch of neck. Correct, tight, oval feet. Presented in excellent condition.
2nd – Kenoz Totoka Tornado (Butler)
Another young bitch, a little bit smaller mode. Has nice angles but her handler couldn’t quite keep up with her so he was holding her back a bit which I believe affected her movement. Another lovely head, nice back, could use a little bit more turn of stifle.
3rd – Graebrook Single White Female (Graebrook Knls)
A bigger bitch, was very free going around. Nice hocks, good feet, lovely forechest, good ribbing. I would like a little more stop, which I feel would give her a more pleasing head. A quality bitch nonetheless.
Nice class
1st – Ch Gamecall Lapua Subsonic (AI) (Hine)
This bitch had a neck that went nicely into her shoulder, good bone, nice outline, correct short loin with good length of rib. Well rounded croup with good tailset. Very balanced movement.
2nd – Ch Metropolis Avant Tout (Hanney)
A little bit heavier bitch but nicely balanced. She was easy on the move and very well conditioned. Nice depth of chest, ribbing, short in loin & arched forechest.
3rd – Hubertus Time And Again (Fogarty)
She is in heat and I think isn’t at her best today. A little bit straighter front and rear but balanced. A little longer in loin but still good depth of chest. Nice bone and shown in good condition.
Open Bitch (5 entries, 1 absent)
Four very different types
1st – Gr Ch Hanafor Alspice Wroxton (Harris/Stading)
Reserve Challenge Bitch
This bitch has beautiful angles, everything blends well. A little more lip than I would prefer but a nice head otherwise. Beautiful forechest, depth of brisket combined with correct ribbing and length of loin. Good tailset, held her back both standing and on the move. Very balanced.
2nd – Ch Gamecall Dreambywater (Hine/Bywater)
Another nice bitch. Not quite the movement of the first bitch as she could use a little bit better angles front and rear. She was however balanced, so was still pleasing going around the ring. She made a beautiful profile standing and had nice head and expression.
3rd – Sup Ch Graebrook Shushienae ET (Wills)
She made a pretty picture both standing and on the move. I would have liked to see a little more front to go with her rear angles. She held a firm back on the move. A little more lip than I would prefer. Pleasing head otherwise. Nice bone
