2023 SPRING CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
14 October 2023
JUDGE: MRS LIAT O’MALLEY (SA)
1st – Hanafor Oakwick Edward (Harris/Cooper)
Baby Puppy in Show
Fourteen week old baby, very well developed, very nice head, good bone, good feet, good topline, good tail set. Nice hindquarters, moves very well. Little bit untidy up and back, but he’s only a baby.
1st – Graebrook Mr Fahrenheit (Graebrook Kennels)
Reserve Challenge Dog / Minor Puppy in Show
Seven month old Vizsla male, very well developed. Good neck into shoulders, good front, good hind, very balanced, good topline, good tail set. Pleasing head, good feet. Moves well.
1st – Lasair Kryptonite Kenzo (Nardi)
Opposite Intermediate in Show
Two year old dog – little bit houndy in the head for me. Feet could be slightly better. Overall shape is nice, moved well. Good set on of neck into shoulders, topline good. Tail set is correct, correct bite.
2nd – Ch Metropolis Benchmark Finis (Hanney)
Little bit too heavy for me, very deep in chest, little bit east-west in front. Probably prefer the second dog’s head to the first dog. Moved well, topline was good.
1st – Riversby Pomme De Gris (Ward)
Australian Bred in Show
A larger dog, but still refined enough. Good head. Excellent hind, excellent front, good topline and tail set, moves well, correct bite. Lovely dog.
2nd – Ch Lasair Erebus Eternus (AI) (Nardi)
On the smaller side. Moves nicely, correct head, good shape. Very balanced and moved well.
1st – Ch Hanafor Secret Agent (Harris)
Challenge Dog / Open in Show
BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW
Very stylish dog. Good head, good front, beautiful hindquarters, very balanced good topline, good take-of of tail. Moved extremely well, a little bit untidy in the out and back, but beautiful length of stride.
2nd – Ch Your Choice Mega Tron (Imp UK) (Ward)
Slightly different in style. Still very nice, very balanced. Could perhaps have a little more angle. Moved nicely.
3rd – Ch Gamecall Lightshow (Hine)
Nice style of dog, a little on the larger side for me. Good front, good hind, good topline. His head probably a little bit longer in nose than the other two.
1st – Riversby Great Blue Heron (Ward)
Opposite Minor Puppy in Show
Eight month old puppy bitch, nice topline, could do with a little bit more angles. Nice head, moved nicely, good forechest.
1st – Graebrook Speed Of Light (Graebrook Kennels)
Puppy in Show
Nice bitch. Good neck into shoulders, good front and hind angles, good topline, good head. Maybe I’d like to see her a tad shorter. Moves well, very pleasing outline.
2nd – Riversby Nova Godina (Ward)
Very nice as well, slightly different in style, very balanced, could possibly be a bit stronger in hocks. Moved well.
1st – Ch Cals My Fair Lady (Kain)
Junior in Show
Nice style of bitch, nice head, a tad wider in front. Nice tail set, moved well. Nice neck into shoulders.
1st – Ch Graebrook Fancy Pants (Graebrook Kennels)
Intermediate in Show
This bitch has got a lovely head, lovely front and hind, good topline. Moves well, good coming and going.
2nd – Riversby Miani Heat (Ward)
Nice also. It was a hard class, she just lacks the angles of the first bitch. But otherwise, she’s got a very good topline, good head, probably not the length of stride of the first.
Very hard class, I really liked both of them for different reasons
1st – Gr Ch Graebrook All About Soul ET (Graebrook Kennels)
Challenge Bitch / Open in Show
RUNNER-UP BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW
Beautiful head, good neck into shoulders, good front, good hind, good topline and tail set. Moved well.
2nd – Ch Your Choice Mega Suggess (Imp UK) (Ward)
Reserve Challenge Bitch
Also lovely, had a slightly different head, but very nice. Possibly slightly better front than the first, but topline and tail set not quite as good as the first. She moved beautifully coming and going.
1st – Ch Gamecall Making Waves RA (Hine)
Good breed type, nice head and nice dark eye. Good front and rear, balanced and moved well.
