What a stylish well balanced 3 month old puppy who had been so well handled and schooled to get the best from him.  For his age he has the right amount of development and has a true breed head of good shape and balance, nice shaped and colour to eyes.   Well set and shaped thin ears.   Having a good bite at present.   Lovely outline fitting the standard, good neck with no dewlap.   His front and rear angles are good of a body that has substance and at present has the correct amount of depth with a nice body line and tuck, plus having a correct ribcage development.   Has a lovely skin texture and coat with a strong russet colour.  At present holds a topline and has a well set on tail.  Well balanced legs with enough bone and tight catlike feet.  Has enough return of stifle, hocks at present are a little long, but should grow into those. A positive sound mover with a good future.

I would have liked more development and advancement on this 17 week old pup.   Of a good size and balance for his age but he lacked in head construction being too fine.  Held head well on a good length of neck which was set well into his shoulders, he had a firm backline but his body lacked in weight, substance and depth.  Although he did have good skin and coat condition.   Well balanced legs needing more bone and tone.  His movement was difficult to assess as he needs more ring training and stronger handling.  Once he settled it could be seen that he may have a good stride.  Well set on and carried tail.

A very stylish youngster with a good balance and outline who stood very well on the stack.   Very elegant well worked head, good width of skull, well set thin ears, median line and stop, tapering into his foreface of good balance and squared off, having kind moderate eyes of good colour with expression, correct bite.  Nice arch to his neck of good length with clean throat, neck set into well laid-back shoulders and a firm level topline to a tail set and carried just a little high.  A solid body with enough depth and substance with well sprung ribs set well back into a good loin, body covered in a good skin presented in an excellent russet gold coloured coat in good clean condition.  Nice balance to straight legs needing a little more bone for his age, feet cat like and tight with strong short nail.  Correctly developed hindquarters, moved out well once settled into his stride and action, tail carried high hopefully this could be excited puppy.  He took my attention and should have a bright future, nicely handled to BPD and finally BPIS

1st – Ch Sezura Fire Cracker (Macken/Cox)
This youngster was a stand-out in this class and so different from the second.  Being a nice medium sized dog, but slightly smaller than 2, having the correct balance and was full of breed type.  Super lean smart head of correct shape well worked, nice set and hung thin ears, excellent shape and colour to his eyes with kind expression, nice stop, narrowing foreface and good dentition.   Clean of dewlap on long neck with slight arching set well into laid back shoulders.  A firm level short backline and well set on tail.    Was well angulated front and rear of a body with substance and depth with ribs well sprung back into a strong short loin.  Good depth of chest and breastbone, straight well boned forelegs and tight catlike feet.  Strong muscular quarters, moderate return of stifle and hocks let down.  Presented in a quality russet coat with nice gloss.  On the move was surprised to see him throwing his front.   Having a nice set tail of good length and carriage on the move which was sound in his rear movement once he settled into his stride.

2nd – Metropolis Duet Heir Apparent (Hanney
This nearly 3 year old in my opinion lacked in the overall balance of the winner, being much longer in back length to his height which was very evident on the stack.  Masculine well worked and balanced head, nice width to his skull, set on of ears, good stop, nice eye shape expression and colour.  Little short in neck although did have a slight arching. Needed more front angle and depth to his chest.  Back line was little weak needing more muscle tone, short sprung ribs needing to be further back making him long in loin.   Good body coat.  Having enough bone on straight fore legs with nice feet, enough rear angle a little long in hock.  Moved out very close at the rear not the front reach and lacked drive.

AUSTRALIAN BRED DOG (5 entries)

Very impressed by this stylish robust breed type dog with a lovely stance on the stack, holding himself with an superior look.  A medium sized dog slightly smaller build than my second but with such lovely proportions and so elegant.  Very well constructed noble head so well worked, with good skull well set ears, lovely expression from dark eyes, good foreface with correct dentition.  Proud head carriage on good length of a slightly arched neck with clean throat, into well laid back shoulders and a firm level back, strong croup and well set and carried tail.  Correct front angulation with depth to his chest and brisket, super body depth and substance with lovely muscle tone.  Well sprung ribs back into a short loin with correct tuck up.  Muscular rear quarters with return of stifle and let down hocks.  Super quality skin, excellent coat colour with gloss and texture. Straight well boned fore legs and rear legs with good tight cat-like feet, moved out with style a little close behind but with good drive and forward reach which was very sound with excellent side stride. 2nd – Ch Lasair Erebus Eternus (AI) (Nardi)
I found this dog to be well proportioned  but I would have liked more robust build and substance although he had muscle tone and was nice to go over.  Lovely masculine head well balanced with good skull a correct medium line, well set and hung thin leathers, excellent eye shape and colour, good balanced correct foreface with wide nose and clean dentition. Proud head carriage, clean throat and good muscular neck of nice length into well laid back shoulders, firm backline with good rump and tail set.  Body well angled front and rear with enough depth to his brisket, well bodied and ribbed back with a short loin. covered in a good skin and a rich russet jacket of a lovely gloss and texture.  Free sound mover on good legs and feet, with correct action and a nice tail set and carriage.

BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW
Stunning muscular robust medium sized dog who stood his ground with an impressive stack and distinguished attitude who really worked so well with his handler.  On handling this boy you could feel strength, having a superior noble head with correct width to his skull, well set and held thin ears, a good median line, stop. Excellent expression and colour to moderate eyes, narrowing foreface with excellent squared off muzzle, tight jaw and flew, with wide nose.  Has a proud head carriage on a moderately long clean neck set well into laid back shoulders into a firm back with strong croup and set on tail. Lovely fore-chest angulation with depth and width with good breast- bone.  Lovely boned straight forelegs and tight cat-like feet.  Substance to a well ribbed back body with a good tuck up to his loin, lovely russet coat colour with good shine.  Muscular hindquarters with moderate return of stifle and let down hocks.  A powerful elegant dog who caught my attention and did not disappoint on the move who had an excellent side stride and sound elegant forward reach and rear drive with which he covered the ground so well. Pleased as a judge I was proud and delighted to see that this boy had won BIS over the past two years at this show.

2nd – Ch Pitswarren Magnum Opus Of Metropolis (Imp UK) (Hanney)
Lovely looking robust dog on the stack, of good size with a lovely outline and balance but on going over him I felt his head spoilt him, I did not like his skull which was a far too wide and strong, correct median line and stop.  Nice kind medium eyes with correct colour, needed to be finer and more tapering to his foreface, also there was far too much flew hanging over his jawline.  Surprised to see he was Pitswarren breeding as I have not seen this fault in any others of their breeding.  Proud head carriage on a strong clean neck into well laid-back shoulders, a firm back and muscular croup with a well set and carried tail.  Super body with strength and depth well ribbed back good belly line to loin and tuck.  Nicely angulated front and rear, with skin and coat of a good russet gold colour and of quality texture.  Nice straight well balanced legs, with tone to his hindquarters with good catlike feet.  Having a nice side action but failed behind being very close at foot, powerful with an elegant ground covering reach and drive.

See this delightful pup is the litter sister to my baby puppy dog, what a nice Christmas present they were. Lovely size and shape with all that promises to come.  Excellent head shape and balance for age, with correct working and shape, nice eyes and ears, good foreface and bite.  Lovely neck shape and length into well laid-back shoulders and short backline, good rump and tail set well and carried out.  Good depth to her chest and body with good sprung ribs, good belly with substance and slight tuck.  Lovely presentation and condition to her short russet gold coat with a nice gloss.  Nice to see at her age that her elbows were close into her brisket on straight well boned and balanced legs with tight feet.   Moved a little too close behind but muscle tone will help, her movement had a nice push from the rear and sound reach from the front.

2nd – Metropolis Marquise Mystique (Hanney)
Nice baby of good size and type and just a few days older than my winner.  I liked her overall balance, and she looked good on the stance, with a nice head of correct shape and work for her age, good colour to her eyes, well set thin ears, tapering foreface squared off with good dentition.  Good neck, shoulders backline and croup.  Lovely body condition with good skin and coat colour.  Good angulation to the front and rear of her body.  Straight correctly boned forelegs nice feet, nice rear quarters being well muscled  for her age.  Not the side action or soundness yet of my winner.

A nearly 8 month baby with a promising outline and correct balance for her age, I felt that she needed to have a better body substance, weight and fill in around her loin. Sweet head well worked and correctly balanced, having a median line and enough stop, nice medium eyes of good colour, ears set on ok. Good clean lines to her neck, good shoulders and a short backline with nice rump and well set on tail.  Enough depth to her chest which was well angulated with nice straight well boned legs and tight feet.  Good body length with a slight tuck, presented in a clean, conditioned and textured russet coat.   Hindquarters with tone and good return of stifle and tight feet.  Moved out well with a nice side stride but was very close at foot behind.  Sound forward reach. 2nd – Gyoztes With Love To Po (Thomson/Shields/Fountaine)
A slightly younger girl but of a similar size and balance but in my opinion needed a lot more breed work in her head as she was lacking in correct shape and balance.   Correct neck with good tone and set into well laid shoulders and short firm backline with nice front and rear angulation.  A depth to her chest with breastbone, having good body substance and depth with sprung ribs back into a nice loin with tuck up.  Lacking in the leg bone of my winner, her forelegs were straight with tight catlike feet. Nice correct rear quarters with moderate return.  Presented well in a rich russet gold coat in good condition having  texture.  Moved out with a short side stride but was sound enough both coming and going.

This for me was an exciting baby with a good future just coming into her 12 months who just needed to get over her initial approach.  Beautiful head with lovely work, median line and stop, correct skull width nice set on and use of ears, having nice expressive eyes of correct shape into a narrowing foreface and correct jaw and dentition.  Holds her head proudly on a slightly arched clean neck with enough length and tone.   Good shoulder lay back and firm short backline with a nice croup and well set and carried tail.  Has a super body with depth and enough width to her chest with a good breastbone, well angulated front and rear of a body with substance, tone and depth with sprung ribs into a short strong loin with good belly and tuck up.  Holds her elbows in on straight well boned forelegs, good hindquarters with tone and return of stifle and short hocks, tight catlike feet. Beautiful clean well conditioned rich russet gold coat and tone to her skin.  Once she settled into a graceful stride was very sound coming and going with good ground coverage.

I liked the overall balance and build of this nearly 17 months girl with a lovely stance who covered the ground well on the stack and the move.  Very feminine well shaped and worked head, with nice median line and stop, well shaped and set expressive eyes, nice ear set with fine leathers close to head, tapering foreface and correct dentition.  Lovely slightly arched moderate neck with clean throat.  Into muscular well set lay back shoulders and a level firm back to strong croup and well set on tail.  Nicely angulated front with depth to her chest, correct developed breastbone and brisket with elbows in on straight well boned forelegs and tight catlike feet. Lovely tone to her body with ribs well back into a strong belly and loin with slight tuck up.  Nicely ribbed back body with substance, covered in a rich russet jacket with good skin.  Hindquarters muscular and correct with letdown hocks, well boned with tight catlike feet.   A stylish forward mover with rear drive with lovely side stride, yet she was not as sound as my second being too close in both front and rear action. Stood with a nice outline and lovely breed balance and worked well with her handler.  On going over in my opinion, she has too much strength to her head, lacking that lean look, too much skull and not enough tapering or work to her foreface.  Nice eye shape and colour, having good jaw and dentition. Holds her head well on a slightly arched neck of good length, good shoulder lay back and a firm level back line to a strong well shaped croup and set on tail.  Lacked in the front angulation, depth to her chest and would like more depth to her brisket, elbows in but clear of brisket on straight legs.  Nice body with good skin and a well presented and conditioned rich russet gold coat.  Correct hindquarters with good return of stifle.  Moved out well and was sound but lacked forward reach, but had sound powerful rear drive.

Very stylish elegant girl who stood well, having a lovely outline with the correct size and balance wanted by a 2-year-old.  I see she is by my BIS winner and has his distinguished look.  A very noble lean head with a good width in her skull, low set thin long ears.  Good work to her balanced foreface well squared off, correct clean dentition.  Good shade of colour to her moderate eyes.  Proud head carriage set on a slightly arched clean neck of good length, good lay back of shoulder, firm short back over a muscular body with lovely depth and substance, well sprung ribs well back into short muscular loin with slight tuck.  Superior skin and coat of russet gold having a lovely texture, presentation and condition.   Correct angulation and fore chest depth with breastbone, good depth to brisket with elbows well into side on straight correctly boned legs and tight catlike feet.  Super tone to her hindquarters with correct moderate stifle and let down hocks, a stylish mover with good side stride, sound front and rear action just runs a little too close behind.  BIMIS + BRCC

Of an excellent height, slightly taller than my winner, she was much longer in back which spoiled her outline and build. Her head was balanced but for me was lacking the lean or moderate and being stronger in both skull and foreface, nice low ear set, good median line and stop, correct eye shape and good colour. Holds head well on a long muscular slightly arch clean neck set into muscular shoulders with enough lay back.  A good body with depth to her chest and brisket, being muscled and having substance.  Sprung ribs which could be much further back into her loin which was too long.  Good coat colour of rich russet.  Straight fore legs correctly boned with tight catlike feet.  Moderate hindquarters with let-down hocks and tight feet, moved well just running too close behind and lacking the forward reach of my winner.

AUSTRALIAN BRED BITCH (1 entry)

1st – Ch CIB Ch Asuare Dancing Inthemoonlight SWN JC (Shields/Fountaine)
Of a good size and overall balance and build to this 4 year old who for me was too fine and lean in head and foreface, needing more width to her skull and too narrow in foreface. Ears set low.  Her eyes are round spoiling her expression, shown with dirty teeth. Good length of neck with a clean throat, into well laid-back shoulders, little steep in upper arm, chest depth.  Good short muscular back over a body that was well muscled with substance, well sprung ribs well back into a short muscular loin with nice tuck. Strong croup to tail set too high, muscular quarters with moderate return of stifle.  Straight legs, bone a little too fine, tight feet.  Movement was spoiled by lacking in forward reach and being too close behind with tail being carried far too high.

I don’t know about a ‘Jewel of a Deal’, she certainly was my Jewel today as she entered the ring.  I liked her style and on the stack, I liked her overall balance and build and she stood just covering  the ground so well and worked with her handler.  On going over thought she was so well muscled, built and developed.   Very stylish well worked noble head, correct of skull and length, nice median line and stop, well set low ears, a sweet expression from lovely eye shape and colour, good taper to muzzle squared end, having correct clean dentition. Very proud head carriage on a good long clean neck into well laidback muscular shoulders into a firm short back with strong croup and set on tail of good length.  Excellent depth of chest with good breastbone, having lovely shoulder to upper arm angulation, deep brisket with elbows held close in, straight correctly boned and balanced legs with tight catlike feet.  Muscular body with ribs well sprung back into her short loin with nice belly and tuck.  Muscular hindquarters good moderate return of stifle and let down hocks with tight feet.  Beautiful presentation and condition to her skin and quality coat of rich russet colour.  Very free elegant sound mover with lovely ground covering reach and powerful drive, tail carried little high.  BCC RBIS

Very attractive girl on the stance stood a little taller than my winner and was overall well built and balanced, she was presented in fabulous skin and coat in a clean and conditioned rich russet coat.  For me her skull was a little too wide and strong and not having the foreface balance.  Medium size to her well coloured eyes, and low set ears. Held her head on an excellent well-muscled neck set into well laidback shoulders and a firm level back with a strong croup and well set on tail.  Well angulated front with depth to her chest and brisket with correctly boned straight legs and tight catlike feet. Lovely body well muscled with depth and substance.  Her hindquarters were correctly shaped and developed.  Her movement had a good reach and side stride, front was positive and correct, but her hind movement was far too close.
