The Hungarian Vizsla was bred to not only be an excellent hunt-point-retrieve dog, but also an equally good companion and family dog. They need to be a part of their family. Indoor privileges and inclusion in everyday activities is vital to their well-being.
As intelligent, high-energy dogs, Vizslas (and their owners!) require socialisation and “life skills” training, not just exercise to tire them. Activities such as obedience, tracking and agility help to channel energy, build a bond between dog and owner, and are fun and rewarding.
The Vizsla’s enthusiasm for life and sense of fun will add to its family’s enjoyment of any outing or holiday.
